The Ellison Hotel, Castlebar, County Mayo
My favourite hotel in County Mayo where myself and my family have now stayed at least 6 times. The Ellison is a friendly, welcoming hotel with comfortable and clean accommodation, an excellent restaurant, and most importantly, a friendly team who go out of their way to make sure you have the best stay.
It also has plenty of free car parking, and it's centrally located for exploring everything that County Mayo has to offer. I use it as my base for getting to friends and family in Swinford, my drives out to Westport and Newport, and also my lazy days where I just want to stay local, have a lie in, and enjoy a cup of coffee (or a Guinness!).
